Framing for Lithograph Prints


Conservation 100% rag matting and backboard are used to protect your print from any acid content in the paper. Suede outer mats are available upon request at an additional $20.00 fee. A suede mat is a fabric mat with a suede textured finish. The slight swirl of this mat gives the print an elegant appearance. These mats are an additional cost to our framing price but well worth your value. Our brass nameplate indentifies the title of your piece. The hand painted pewter pin, set into the matting, highlights one of the animals or hunters in the print. If requested framed, please specify the color of oak you prefer. We offer red (honey colored), blonde (natural finish) or dark (walnut colored). Samples of our package are shown below.

Our hand painted pewter pins add a classic finish to our framing. We offer many pins including deer, turkey, grouse, squirrel, ducks, elk, fox, and tractors.
Artist Proofs are traditionally the first prints off the press, which the artist claims and signs as his personal edition. As the avid collector prefers Artist Proofs, requests are taken on a list and issued on a first-come first-serve basis. The prints are signed Artist proof after the issue number. The edition size is usually calculated at ten percent of the signed and numbered editions. Since the A/P edition size is limited a low number, the Artist Proofs usually sell out quickly. The cost of most of our Artist Proofs is an additional $50.00 to the cost of the print. This may vary with issue price and current market value.

A remarque is a small, personalized drawing by the artist in the margin of the print. It is an artist's personal rendition reflecting one of the characteristics from the print image. This remarque is of a squirrel which appeared in our Peaceful Path print. Jack draws his remarques in pen and ink. When framing, the matting is cutout to display the remarque.


The cost of the remarques is an additional $100.00
to the cost of the print.
