In Thanksgiving

Experience the Eastern Woodland Native American traditions with Jack Paluh's “In Thanksgiving.”  Following the beliefs of their Fathers, these woodland hunters ceremoniously sprinkled or smoked tobacco over the harvested animal.  They reverently spoke in honor of the deer’s memory and gave thanks to The Creator for the gift of food.  This sacred custom was believed to release the animal’s spirit back to the harmony of all nature.
