Punxsutawney Phil

“Punxsutawney Phil” was painted by Jack Paluh over thirty years ago.

The Groundhog Legend was brought to Pennsylvania by the early settlers, who believed, on February 2nd, (Candlemas Day), if the groundhog would cast his shadow, there would be six more weeks of winter.  Today, this legend is brought to life by Jack Paluh in his wildlife painting “Punxsutawney Phil,” our internationally known weather prophet.
