“Allegheny Black Bear” is one of Jack Paluh’s first black bear wildlife paintings.  After studying black bears in their natural habitat, Jack portrays the bear in a beech and maple forest.  A lost knife in the leafy underbrush suggests man’s shared presence in the bear’s environment.
